Wearing computer glasses
Computer glasses should be labeled UV 400. According to one manufacturer, this is what distinguishes more expensive computer glasses from "cheap" ones.
So our computer glasses are UV 400. But instead of costing up to £60.00, they only cost £14.95. They are also almost clear (with a faint blue tint) rather than being amber, yellow or some other obtrusive colour.
They can be worn over another pair of glasses. Alternatively, you can get an 'Essilor' coating on prescription lenses. Or non-prescription or prescription lenses under the Crizal® Prevencia™ label. But these options are much more expensive.
One of the benefits of having a separate pair of computer glasses is that they are best worn only while you are at your computer or tablet – we need some natural blue light getting to our eyes. People who wear blue-blocking glasses all the time start exhibiting new problems in their energy . . . it's too soon to tell how this form of 6th chakra contraction1 will manifest, symptomatically-speaking.
Some computer screen manufacturers have started marketing low-blue light screens. Unfortunately, the ones we have seen so far emit environmental stresses that are usually absent from standard monitors. So they will generate their own set of problems.
Vincent Gualino, an Ophthalmologist at a French hospital, says . . . “Children’s eyes are most vulnerable, as their retinas are clear and they “will be exposed [to computer screens] over 40 or 50 years.” For those who cannot help but be in front of screens, Dr. Gualino prescribes glasses that filter out the blue light.
Unfortunately, most people will wait until they experience an eye problem which they will then hope can be treated (it usually can't) . . . We believe it's smarter to protect your eyes now.
